Inspired by the Tokyo Revengers Tokyo Manji Gang jacket. Sharing prototype images of the now called “Revenge” jacket I designed and made under Love Army, for Gaimin Gladiators’ capsule last year at the Esports World Cup. This was the proto, which carried the TOMAN colorway bearing a red inner and yellow buttons, but was later converted to carry the GG beige and branding.

If you’re not familiar with Tokyo Revengers, it’s an anime series which features biker gangs in Tokyo, primarily composed of ‘delinquent‘ high school students. Without mentioning much of what it’s all about, let’s just say it’s an amazing series that deals with cause and effect… butterfly effect maybe?

The affiliation of different groups in the series were signified primarily by what they wore. Whether they were simply meeting, or going into ‘war’ with any other groups, it’s their uniform. I always get a kick about crossing references about things I like. In this case, it was where I was able to mix gaming, anime, and fashion. Job’s fun!

Fitting to see it on so many stages all around the world representing one org. Now imagine many stages worldwide, with many teams wearing their own fits. They may even be opposing forces, but they’re all marked by the same passion, symbolized by the Love Army Insignia.

As you know, I run LOVE ARMY, and the thought is always to gather people who do what they love, or at least be a wearable reminder to do so. Different passions, likes, whatever. We all have that same fire for our own respective thing. The uniform stays the same, marked by the Insignia.
