Logos are custom made to very well reflect the business, party, or individual it represents. Inevitably, there are cases wherein logos are simply stocked, manipulated, and sold a hundred times over without any regard for the Identity factor it must uniquely possess.
As if that’s not enough, a website has created the Buzz for being a Logo Thief. LogoGarden.com basically is a DIY Logo and Business card site all for just $79! What a deal for the thousands of logos they’ve ‘created’ for you to pick from.
RockPaperInk wrote a more elaborate and rage-filled article concerning this matter. Look at that, even the WWF is there! Only it now has some goofy eyes LOL.
This is probably not the only ‘business model’ that exists in the web today. But at least there’s an effort in most of us to stop such piracy and infringment.
Guys, learn to find a proper designer for the job. It might not be me for you but at least find yourself a decent one that definitely goes through a proper process that involves YOU in it. It’s your logo. Either that, or pay something very cheap online and regret after.
