Designing a “Boku No Hero Academia”-Inspired Streetwear Hoodie

I’m an anime nerd and one of my latest investments is binging through the adventures of Izuku Midorya in “My (Boku No) Hero Academia” Seasons 1 to 4. Good timing too, because Season 5 is peeking just around the corner! If you haven’t started on that series yet, I recommend it!

Naturally, I’ll channel the fun and creativity into designing apparel. I’m currently making a couple of pieces for Love Army, one of which is the “Bombardment Lite,” which is based off of the Bombardment hoodie jacket. Given the tropical nature of my location, and the way I perspire easily, I wanted a jacket that could give me the snug of a hoodie, without being too hot. With that in mind, I cut off the sleeves, and opened up the waist rim, making the overall piece breathable. A breathable hoodie, the Bombardment Lite – available soon on lovearmy.com!

Using Deku’s hero costume colorway, tada! Insant My Hero Academia streetwear piece! The main colorway of the Bombardment Lite will come in Black and Gray/Yellow. This is a variation, which will also be available in a more limited run, for those who want to smash their way into the world of streetwear.

This opens up more space for me to create otaku-related fashion pieces under the Love Army brand we could all wear in the wild. What do you think would be a good anime character to base my next creation on? Drop me a DM! For more photos of this Deku-inspired piece, feel free to check out my Instagram post.
